Viru Transporditeenuste AS adopts new business name VKG Transport AS

Effective from 26 May 2004, the business name of Viru Transporditeenuste AS, a subsidiary of Viru Keemia Grupp AS, is VKG Transport AS. The change concerns only the company’s business name.

VKG Transport AS provides logistics and distribution as well as international road and rail services. Its other field of activity is leasing of railway tankcars suitable for carriage of light oil products, dark oil products and chemicals.

The company operates one of Estonia’s largest fleets of rail wagons and has 1,272 railtank cars and semi-wagons. The majority of the rolling stock is leased to various operators and operates on the railways of CIS countries.

In June the company will open a modern environmentally friendly washing unit for cleaning tanktrucks and railtank cars.

The truck fleet of VKG Transport AS provides services not only for the subsidiaries of Viru Keemia Grupp AS, but also for Estonia’s largest chemical industries.

VKG Transport AS employs 100 people.
